The Globetrotting Soprano is part music-blog and part travelogue. I’ll report my adventures (on and off stage) as I travel the world. I’ll also give you some travel tips, and singing tips, and I’ll feature some of the amazing musicians I meet along the way.
About Me: My name is Lindsay Feldmeth and I’m a professional opera singer. I grew up in Los Angeles but I studied opera in Salzburg. Then I worked in Italy for a couple of years, and then I spent some time in New York, and now I’m back in L.A. The opera singer’s lifestyle can be very exciting; my music has already taken me from Honolulu to Moscow to Yokohama! In 2009, I even had the chance to create a music festival in Nepal called the Kathmandu Music for Peace Festival. I am currently the artistic director of a new festival in Botswana: the No 1 Ladies’ Opera Festival!
The title of “globetrotter” is honorary — I have visited only 26 countries so far: Austria, Belgium, Botswana, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, the United States, the Vatican, and Wales — but I have only just begun.
Check out my professional website and my recordings!
Add Switzerland to that list as you have been here twice! That makes it 22.
Hope to see you again in CH!! Pam
